Organic light emitting diodes(OLEDs) are also known as organic light emitting lasers and organic light emitting semiconductors. Organic light-emitting diode(OLED) is a patented display technology developed and owned by Kodak. This technology uses organic polymer materials as semiconductors in light emitting diodes.
OLED display technology is widely used in mobile phones, digital cameras, DVD players, personal digital assistants(PDAs), laptops, car stereos, and televisions. The OLED display is thin and light because it does not use backlight. The OLED display also has a wide screen viewing angle of up to 160 degrees and its operating voltage is 2 to 10 volts(Volt, expressed in V).
